Randwick Council proposal for expenditure of around $100,000 for exhibitions and events at La Perouse Museum over this financial year.

Proposed exhibitions and activities are budgeted to cost $69,000 with expected revenue of $3000 to be allocated from the 2018-2019 budget.  In addition there is a proposed contribution of $88,000 over 3 years for an ARC Grant in collaboration with University of NSW.

Exhibitions:

The Pauline McLeod Primary School Art Exhibition $1500

Aboriginal Art of La Perouse October 2018 – February 2019 $25,000

Objets Francais April to July 2019  $10,000

La Perouse Through the Lens La Perouse Photographs  March – July 2019 $18,000

In addition Public and School Events at $10 pp:  Shared Histories charged at $65 for 20 students; Two French- Themed Public Programs $8000; Bastille Day Courtyard Performance – Chris Cody;

Weaving Workshops $500 each; Kadoo Tours $600 each; Storytelling by the Beach $1200; Cultural Cooking Class $2200; Boomerang Throwing Class $500 each.  Total cost $14,000 with expected revenue $3000.

ARC Grant Proposal:  Aeolian Building Wind Sounds with Didgeridoo – $8,000 Council $6,500 UNSW;  Whispers in language French UNSW $5,000 Council $3,000; Sonic Well sound connection telegraph cable Council $6,000 UNSW $15,000; Sun Spot Council $16,000 UNSW $9,000; The Green Book Light and Wind Projection at Macquarie Tower UNSW $7,000 Council $30,000; Research on the Museum colar, maritime and indigenous themes UNSW $35,000 Council $25,000

Total Council input $88,000 over 3 years; UNSW $114,500 (including $34,000 to prepare application); ARC funding anticipated $218,000.
