An invitation is extended to share in the occasion of La Fête Nationale (Bastille Day) to be held at the Laperouse Monument at 10.30 am on Saturday, 14th July, 2012.
This year the commemoration will be hosted by the Friends and followed by refreshments at the Laperouse Museum generously catered for by The Association of the French North African Veterans.
This will also provide an opportunity to visit or revisit the Laperouse Museum, the Laperouse Monument and the Père Receveur Grave.
The President of the NSW Legislative Council the Hon Don Harwin MLC Patron of The Friends, the Mayor Councillor Scott Nash and the Consul for France will lay wreaths and present short addresses. .
Senator the Hon Bob Carr; the Hon Michael Daley MP; The Hon Peter Garret MP and the Consul for France have also been invited.
